This is a fully-reconditioned Mando alternator which comes with a one-year limited warranty. Replaces Life Fitness OEM AK63-00093-0000; Startrac OEM 800-3122 and Startrac OEM 260-0182; and Precor: 38611-101, 40747-801 0017000090841.
Before replacing your alternator, be sure to test resistance on your alternator:

1. Run a jumper wire from the Exc. post to the B+ post on the alternator.
2. Pedal unit for about a minute to build up resistance.
3. If the unit gives full resistance the alternator is good.
4. If there is no resistance then you might have bad brushes in the alternator or may need to replace alternator.

This exchange service option is not available outside the continental U.S. A $135.00 fee will be charged if a serviceable and matching core is not returned 30 days after the invoice date. The exchange alternator comes with a one-year limited warranty. The warranty covers failure within 90 Days of invoice date. A replacement will be shipped out. If there is a failure after 90 Days of the invoice date, a Repair Authorization (RA) with Call Tag will be issued.

The warranty is limited to either one exchange or one repair attempt. If the problem persists, the original cost of the unit will be refunded with no further action required by NGS.
